Judaism: The Heresy of the Israelites or the Faith of Abraham?

Judaism is the religion of the Jewish peoples. It is known, in their circles, as the Faith of Abraham. Judaism is under the Covenant given by God to Abraham, because the Jewish peoples do not recognize the subsequent Covenant given by God as a consequence of the death and resurrection of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God. Judaism does not believe that the Messiah has already come. Judaism is still waiting for the Messiah to come for the first time. Judaism makes the claim that its faithful follow the Torah, which is comprised of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. Rabbinical commentary on the Torah, which seeks to interpret and teach the Law of Moses, is given by the Talmud and the Qabalistic work called the Zohar. The Zohar is the set of writings that delineates most of Jewish mysticism that is currently extant. The Mosaic Law is comprised in Judaism by the Torah as interpreted by the Talmud.

Judaism was the way that God gave to the Israelites, but Israel, who is God's first love, failed to follow the terms of the Covenant of Abraham. Thus, God in His Great Love for the Jewish peoples had arranged and furnished a new Covenant when the stewards of the Holy Priesthood had failed utterly to perform the oikonomia (stewardship) and diakonia (servanthood) of God's Holy Temple. Resulting from this failure, the Holy Temple of Jerusalem was destroyed by the Roman Empire in 70 A.D. after its services were rendered null and void, beginning in 33 A.D., upon the death of Jesus Christ. The crucifixion of Jesus is an event acknowledged in the Encyclopedia Judaica as historical fact.

Since 33 A.D., the services of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem have been effected by God in the Divine Liturgical services of the Divine Eucharist. Judaism is unable to fulfill the terms of Mosaic Law, because its Priesthood ceased to exist in a visible sense on 70 A.D., when the second Jewish Temple was destroyed because of the faithless operation of their Priesthood. All Jewish peoples who speak the Truth in their hearts will have to confess that the destruction of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem was an act of the God of Abraham.

The God of Abraham permitted the destruction of the Holy Temple of Solomon on the eve of the ninth of Av, a Sunday, in the year 586 Before Christ, which stood on the same spot in Jerusalem (on the Holy Temple Mount), as the Holy Temple which was rebuilt shortly thereafter. The Second Holy Temple was built at the same location on the third of Adar in the sixth year of Darius (March 12, 515 Before Christ). The period between the destruction of the Holy Temple of Solomon and the Second Holy Temple was a wake-up call by God to the Hebrews for their NOT following the precepts He laid down for Temple worship and Sacrifice. Thus, the God of Abraham continued the Covenant He made with Abraham. But already, plans were being made in Heaven. The Greek Philosopher Socrates received a vision concerning the Son of Man of the Most High God. The Socratic vision was documented in Plato's Republic.

When the Second Holy Temple was destroyed in 70 A.D., the Hebrews were not again allowed by the God of Abraham to erect a Third Holy Temple. The passage of time since 70 A.D. is a testament to God's will that a Third Holy Temple under the terms of the Covenant of Abraham should not be allowed, since the God of Abraham had arranged something better and more lasting by the fulfillment of the Law of Moses and the Age of Grace.

Since 70 A.D., sacraficial worship in Judaism has ceased to exist. Thus, the terms of Judaism are impossible to fulfill for any Jewish person who has lived and who lives since 70 A.D. The passage of time is incredible: 1,938 years in which the Jewish peoples have not rebuilt a subsequent Holy Temple. Yes there is the Temple Institute, but the Holy Temple Mount is not available for building the new temple because of the Dome of the Rock and the Mosque Al Aqsa. This humble author will ask all of the Jewish peoples: Would God abandon His first Love and not establish a third Holy Temple under the Mosaic Law if He felt it would be effective for your salvation? The answer is that God did not abandon His first Love, that the Third Temple exists and has existed since 33 A.D. and this Holy Temple is in operation by the terms of a High Priest after the order of Melchizedek (Genesis 14:18). (Melchizedek is again mentioned in the Book of Psalms. (Psalm 110:4)) That Holy Temple is built in each person who trusts God's work in bringing about salvation and the purification of each soul and body in which the God of the Holy Temple resides.

For further information, read the Epistle of St. Paul to the Hebrews in its entirety, study the Holy Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Then visit with your nearest Orthodox Christian Priest. Don't delay. Be purified and made Holy by the God of Abraham. Take care of the guilt of unconfessed sin and enlighten your countenance being made free of condemnation through the High-Priest of all. Can you say Alleluia and Amen?
